Connecting to Granola
Connect Granola and your Townie can search and pull from your meeting notes and transcripts — turning the calls you’ve already captured into usable context: follow-up emails, action items, summaries, and prep, without leaving Town.
What it is (and isn’t)
- It’s a read connection. Your Townie can search and read your Granola notes, transcripts, and meeting events.
- It brings meetings into your other work. Turn what was said in a call into a follow-up email, a task, or a summary.
- It is not a note editor. Your Townie reads from Granola; it doesn’t create or change notes there. Capturing notes still happens in Granola itself.
How to connect
- Go to /integrations and find Granola.
- Authorize the connection (sign in to Granola when prompted).
- Done — your Townie can now search your Granola notes and transcripts on request.
What it’s great for
- Find what was said — “search my Granola notes for the pricing discussion with the vendor.”
- Pull action items — “what did I commit to in yesterday’s team meeting?” and turn them into tasks.
- Draft the follow-up — “draft a recap email from my last client call” using the actual transcript.
- Summarize a meeting — get a tight summary of a long call without rereading the whole transcript.
- Connect the dots — combine a meeting’s notes with email or calendar context for prep or follow-through.
Good to know
- Read-only: great for searching, summarizing, and reusing notes — not for editing them in Granola.
- It works from what Granola captured — if a meeting wasn’t recorded/noted there, there’s nothing to pull.
- Same memory and tools as everywhere else — pair Granola notes with your email, calendar, and tasks in one request.
