Free Trial

When you sign up for Town, you get a 7-day Pro trial — the full Pro experience, free, so you can see what your Townie can really do before you decide on a plan.

How the trial works

  • You start on Pro. All of Pro’s features and a batch of trial credits are available from day one.
  • It ends at whichever comes first:
    • 7 days pass, or
    • your trial credits run out.
  • By default you drop to Free when the trial ends — no charge, nothing deleted. If you’d rather continue on a paid plan, you can pick one during the trial from Settings → Plan (town.com/settings/plan ). When that plan starts depends on which one you pick (see below).

Picking a plan higher than Pro (Power or Power Plus) starts it right away and charges you now, ending your trial early. Picking Pro or a lower paid plan doesn’t charge today — it starts when your trial ends (or as soon as your trial credits run out, so you’re not left waiting). Either way you can also upgrade anytime after the trial from the same page.

Because the trial ends when your credits run out or at 7 days, heavy early use can end the trial before the week is up. That’s expected — it means you’ve had a full Pro’s worth of work done for you.

What happens to my stuff when the trial ends?

Dropping to Free doesn’t delete anything. Your account, history, and settings stay put. What changes is what’s active on the Free plan — for example, Free doesn’t run custom routines or event-based triggers, so routines that need a paid plan pause until you upgrade. See Plans & Pricing.

What if my card is declined when I pick a plan?

Nothing is charged and you’re left where you were before the attempt — you may need to pick the plan again. If your trial still has time and credits left, it keeps running; if your trial credits are already used up, you stay limited until a charge goes through. Add a different card in Settings → Plan and retry; retrying the same card right away doesn’t always take effect. See If a card is declined.

Can I extend or reset my trial?

Trial extensions and resets aren’t self-serve — they’re handled case by case by our team. If you need more time to evaluate Town, email support@corp.town.com and we’ll help.
