TownTownies
Your Townie is your assistant — and over time, your teammate. It knows your preferences and works for you, and only you. The more you work together, the better it knows you, and the stronger your partnership gets. (No two Townies are alike, because no two people work alike.)
You name your Townie during setup (say, “Alex”), and that becomes how you refer to it: “I had Alex handle that.” The name also becomes its own email address — like alex@town.com — so you can always reach it directly. (There are plenty of other ways to get in touch too — learn more here.)
It’s learning you in the background. As you work, your Townie picks up your voice, your contacts, and how you like things done — no setup required. And you can teach it directly anytime, just by telling it:
- “Always CC my manager on budget updates.”
- “I don’t take meetings before 10am.”
- “Keep my replies short and skip the formal sign-off.”
It remembers, so you never have to repeat yourself.
You’re always in control. Your Townie never sends anything or takes action on your behalf without your permission — you decide what it can do on its own and what it should run by you first. It works for you alone, and never uses your data to train models. Learn more at Town Trust & Safety.
Put a face to the name
Your Townie already has a name. Now it has a personality and a distinct look to match.
To access your Townie, navigate to the bottom of your left sidebar. Here you’ll find the Townie Creator — Town generates a one-time custom Townie based on your profile.
It’s created from what your Townie already knows about you: your role, and the way you work. The result is a Townie that’s unique to you.
Pick a different one if you want
If your custom Townie isn’t the way you imagined your assistant, you’ve got options.
There’s a library of Townies you can switch to: a collection of hand-made designs by professional illustrators, and even more options generated by the Town community. Browse the gallery and pick one that matches the vibe you want.
Make your own
You can also click Create and describe your own.
You can build a Townie from scratch — look, name, personality — and use it as your assistant.
Share it
Made a Townie you love? Use the share button in the top right to make it public.
Other Town users can find and use shared Townies the same way you found yours.
Open your Townie page and meet the one created just for you. If it’s not quite right, swap it out, or design your own.
