Managing Your Account
Where to find your settings, how to rename your Townie, exporting your data, and deleting your account.
Finding your settings
Your Profile is where your settings live — and it’s clickable. Click your avatar in the bottom-left of the app, then choose Settings. From there you can manage your plan, connected accounts, integrations, privacy, and more.
A lot of “where do I change X?” questions come down to this: it’s under your Profile → Settings. Plan and billing live under Settings → Plan (town.com/settings/plan ).
Renaming your Townie / changing its email
When you signed up you named your Townie, and that name became its @town.com email address (like alex@town.com). If you want to rename your Townie or change that assistant email address, you can do it from your assistant settings — or email support@corp.town.com if you need a hand. See Townies and Email.
Exporting your data
There’s no self-serve, structured export (a full data dump) today. The practical path is to ask your Townie to compile what you need into a document — for example a summary of your routines, notes, or a specific set of records — which it can put together and share with you. For an everything-at-once version of that ask, use the ready-made inventory prompt — it captures your routines, skills, memories, settings, and integrations in one doc. If you need a formal export for compliance or offboarding reasons, email support@corp.town.com.
Deleting your account
You can delete your account anytime:
- Go to Settings → Delete Account.
- Confirm.
What happens next:
- Soft-delete immediately — your account is deactivated, routines stop, and your Town sessions are revoked.
- Permanent deletion within 30 days.
Third-party app permissions
Deleting your account also winds down the third-party apps you connected (Google, Slack, Notion, and so on):
- Immediately, Town stops using them: the sign-in tokens stored for your connected email accounts are cleared from Town’s systems, and the integrations you connected personally are shut down — most are marked invalid right away, and any remaining personal connection records are removed when your account is permanently deleted.
- At permanent deletion, for integrations whose provider supports revocation, Town asks the provider to revoke its access, and the stored connection records are then deleted.
- For your connected Google accounts, Town clears the sign-in tokens from its systems right away, but the authorization may still be listed on Google’s side — remove it from your Google Account under Security → Third-party apps & services. You can revoke Town’s access from any provider’s own security or connected-apps page at any time, before or after deleting your account.
- Team-scoped connections aren’t affected. An integration you authorized for a team belongs to the team, not your personal account, and keeps working for the remaining members. Disconnect it from the team’s integration settings if it should be removed.
Narrow exceptions apply (e.g. an active legal hold or a small set of security/audit records we’re required to retain). See Trust & Security for the full data-handling details.
