Multiple Email Accounts
You can connect more than one email account — for example your work and personal Gmail, or a mix of Gmail and Outlook — so your one Townie can help across all of them.
Add an email account
- Go to Settings → Integrations (or Accounts).
- Choose Connect another account, pick the provider (Google or Microsoft Outlook), and sign in to the account you want to connect.
- Grant access, and your Townie starts using it alongside your existing account(s).
You can connect Google and Outlook accounts this way.
How your Townie keeps them straight
- It acts in the right account. Work email goes out from your work account, personal from your personal account — your Townie keeps each account’s context separate.
- Routines can be scoped per account. A routine can run on one specific account or across all of them. See Google.
- You can disconnect any additional account anytime from the same settings. Your primary account is the one you sign in with, so it can’t be disconnected there — to remove it you’d delete your Town account (see Managing Your Account), or email support@corp.town.com.
Choosing which calendars Town reads
Connecting an account also brings in its calendars. If you want your Townie to use an account’s email but not (all of) its calendars, go to Settings → Calendars: each connected account lists its calendars with a Fetch by default toggle. Turn a calendar off to leave it out of your Townie’s default reads (briefings, availability checks, and searches), or on to include one your provider normally hides. A calendar that’s toggled off can still be read if you ask about it by name.
One exception: each account’s primary calendar is always read, so its toggle is shown but can’t be turned off. For an additional account, disconnecting it is the way to keep its primary calendar out of Town entirely. For the account you sign in with, that isn’t an option — email support@corp.town.com if you need its primary calendar left alone.
How many can I add?
Adding email accounts is self-serve — just repeat the steps above for each one; there’s no per-plan cap on how many you connect. Two kinds of policies can still block a new account, and they’re fixed in different places:
- Your employer’s Google or Microsoft settings. If the error appears on the provider’s own sign-in screen — like Google’s “Access blocked: Authorization Error” — your organization restricts which apps employees can authorize, and your own IT admin is the one who can approve Town. See Google or Outlook for details.
- A Town-side team policy. If your organization is under a policy that restricts secondary accounts (or locks a work domain to a primary account), Town shows a message explaining why. That policy isn’t a setting you or your team admin can change, so if you’re blocked and think you shouldn’t be, email support@corp.town.com.
Adding an email account is different from creating a second Town login. If you want everything under one Townie, add the email here rather than signing up again. See Consolidating Accounts if you already have two Town accounts.
