Plans & Pricing
Town has plans for individuals, small teams, and whole companies. This page gives you the lineup and helps you pick — but the current, live prices and credit amounts always live at town.com/pricing and in Settings → Plan (town.com/settings/plan ).
Except where noted, the prices below are the billed-annually rate, shown per month; monthly billing is available at a slightly higher rate. Starter is billed monthly at $15/mo (no annual option). Credit amounts are per billing cycle and refill each cycle — see Credits & Usage.
Individual plans
| Plan | Price / month | Monthly credits | Custom routines | Triggers | Overage |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Free | $0 | — | None | None (Weekly Briefing only) | No |
| Starter | $15/mo | 1,250 | 2 | Daily / scheduled only | No |
| Pro | $49/mo | 5,000 | Unlimited | All trigger types | Yes |
| Power | $99/mo | 12,000 | Unlimited | All trigger types | Yes |
| Power Plus | $199/mo | 40,000 | Unlimited | All trigger types | Yes |
Free includes 30 chats per month and a 7-day Pro trial when you sign up (see Free Trial). Free doesn’t include custom routines or triggers — the only automated routine it runs is the Weekly Briefing. Starter is billed monthly.
A chat is one back-and-forth request to your Townie. Free is bounded by a monthly chat count instead of credits; paid plans drop the chat limit and meter usage in credits instead.
Team plans
| Plan | Price / month | Credits | Billing |
|---|---|---|---|
| Team | $59 / seat / mo | 6,000 per seat, pooled | Per seat |
| Team Plus | $149 / seat / mo | 18,000 per seat, pooled | Per seat |
| Enterprise | Custom | Custom | Custom contract |
Team credits are pooled across everyone on the team. See Team Billing & Credits for how seats, pooling, and consolidated billing work.
What are triggers, and why are they gated?
A trigger is what starts a routine automatically. Not every plan can use every trigger type:
- Starter — schedule/daily triggers only. A routine can run on a schedule (at most once a day), but not on live events.
- Pro and above — all trigger types, including new-email (event) and meeting-start (calendar) triggers.
Being on a paid team unlocks event and calendar triggers for team-owned routines, but a free team tier does not lift an individual member’s personal-plan limits. To run event/calendar triggers on your own account, you need Pro or higher (or a paid team plan).
Which plan is right for me?
- Just trying Town out? Start on Free (or your 7-day Pro trial). Great for chatting with your Townie and light use.
- One person who wants automation? Starter if a couple of daily routines is enough; Pro if you want live email/calendar triggers, unlimited routines, and overage headroom.
- A power user running lots of automation? Power or Power Plus for the larger credit allotments and lower per-credit overage rates.
- A small shop (e.g. 2 people)? A couple of individual Pro plans works, or move to Team to pool credits, share integrations and routines, and get one bill. See Teams.
- A whole company or a heavy-usage team? Team Plus (3× Team’s per-seat credit pool) or Enterprise (custom). Email support@corp.town.com to talk through Enterprise.
Changing plans
- Upgrade anytime from Settings → Plan. Upgrading starts a new billing cycle immediately and gives you the new plan’s full credit allotment.
- Downgrade or cancel — see Cancellation & Refunds.
- If a change is already scheduled, Settings → Plan shows it (“Switching to … on …”) with a Cancel downgrade button. On an individual plan you can still upgrade while it’s queued — upgrading replaces the scheduled change — but you can’t schedule a second downgrade until you cancel the first. On a team plan, plan switches in both directions stay locked until the scheduled change is canceled or takes effect.
- If the card is declined, you stay on your current plan and can retry — see If a card is declined.
