Candidate Reply Assessment
Candidate Reply Assessment is a routine your Townie AI assistant runs when a candidate replies to your outreach: it scores how likely they are to take a screening call on a 0–100 scale, researches their background across LinkedIn and your own tools, and drafts a candid internal assessment in the same thread — addressed to you, never sent to the candidate.
See it work: three replies, three reads
Every candidate reply comes with a read
Candid, scored, and under 400 words each.
How this routine works
It runs when a reply lands
Only on your own outreach threads, only when the newest message is really from the candidate, and never twice for the same person on a thread. Anything else, it stays quiet.
It reads and researches
The reply gets scored 0–100 for screening-call likelihood, and the candidate gets researched — LinkedIn via search, your email history, your Drive and Slack.
You get a candid read in-thread
An internal draft in the same thread, addressed to you: score, profile, strengths and gaps for this role, a suggested next step, and which sources came up empty.
Candidate Reply Assessment FAQ
It's a routine your Townie AI assistant runs when a candidate replies to your outreach: it scores how likely they are to take a screening call on a 0–100 scale, researches their background, and drafts a candid internal assessment in the same thread — likelihood, profile, strengths and gaps for the role, and a suggested next step, all under about 400 words.
No. The assessment is drafted as an internal note addressed to you, and the routine never replies to the candidate — outreach stays entirely in your hands. Access is scoped to the accounts you connect. Read more in our security overview.
No — it checks gates first. The thread has to be your own outreach, the newest message has to come from the candidate, the role has to be identifiable, and each candidate is assessed once per thread. If any gate fails, it does nothing.
Your email is the core — that's where replies land and where the assessment is drafted. Web search covers LinkedIn and public background, and your Drive and Slack add role docs and internal context when connected.
It's a 0–100 likelihood of taking a screening call, in four bands: Interested (80–100), Warm or ambiguous (40–79), Polite decline (10–39), Hard decline (0–9). You can rename the bands or shift the thresholds to match how your team talks about pipeline.
The assessment flags it prominently and recommends removing them from outreach, so a hard no never gets a well-meaning follow-up from your team.
