Outlook integration FAQ

Town's Outlook integration connects your Outlook mail and calendar through Microsoft's official sign-in — one click, no add-ins. Your Townie can search and read your email, draft replies in your voice, organize your inbox, and check your schedule. Under the hood these are Town's email tools: search, read, thread reading, drafts, folders and categories, and archive.

Town only reads your Outlook email when you (or a routine you configured) ask for it, and access is scoped to the account you connect. Anything Town drafts — replies, forwards, invites — waits for your approval before it goes out. Read more about how Town approaches security.

What is Outlook?

Outlook is Microsoft's email and calendar app, and for teams on Microsoft 365 it's the front door of the workday: the inbox where every request arrives and the calendar everyone schedules against.

Outlook holds the conversations; Town works through them. Connected, your assistant triages what arrives, drafts what you'd send in your voice, and keeps the follow-through moving, with you approving what goes out.
