Candidate Sourcing Run
Candidate Sourcing Run is a routine your Townie AI assistant runs whenever you hand it an open role and its job description: it builds a sourcing plan, finds and enriches 20-50 on-target candidates through Clay, scores each on fit — including the non-obvious signals a title doesn't show — and hands back a ranked Google Sheet with a personal outreach note drafted for every candidate. Nothing is sent to anyone; you send the notes yourself.
See it work: a role in, a ranked shortlist out
Fill any role's shortlist without the manual sourcing grind
Scored, enriched, and outreach drafted — nothing sent until you send it.
How this routine works
You send the role
Hand your Townie the job description or an Ashby link. It reads the role closely — the outcomes it owns, must-haves versus nice-to-haves, hard filters, and the two to four backgrounds that would crush it — then shows you its sourcing plan before searching.
It sources, enriches, and scores
Through Clay it finds and enriches 20-50 real matching people — name, LinkedIn, location, company, title — scores each 1-100 on fit including the non-obvious signals, and flags the teammate closest to each candidate so you can chase a warm referral.
You work straight from the sheet
A ranked Google Sheet with a short outreach note drafted in your voice for every candidate — one real personalization, a one-line pitch, a light ask. You review, tweak, and send the notes yourself.
Candidate Sourcing Run FAQ
It's a routine your Townie AI assistant runs whenever you hand it an open role and its job description: it builds a sourcing plan, finds and enriches 20-50 on-target candidates through Clay, scores each on fit, drafts a personal outreach note per candidate in your voice, and hands back a ranked Google Sheet you can work straight from — no manual LinkedIn hunting.
No. Every outreach note is a draft — nothing is sent to any candidate until you send it yourself. It reads only the tools you connect, and it shows you its search plan before it starts. Read more in our security overview.
From a Clay search built off your job description — exact and adjacent titles at target companies that over-index on the right backgrounds, with a location filter. It searches before it enriches to keep costs down, and it only includes real, verifiable profiles.
One row per candidate: name, status, notes, LinkedIn, location, company, title, the drafted outreach note, a fit archetype, a 1-100 priority score, and your closest connection to them — sorted by score so the top of the sheet is where you start.
No — it runs when you ask. Any time a role opens, send your assistant the JD and it kicks off a fresh sourcing run for that role.
