Ramp integration FAQ
Town's Ramp integration is a secure connection to your Ramp account through Town's Ramp tools. Your Townie can read your transactions, cards, receipts, users, and vendors, then turn them into spend updates, receipt nudges, and answers about any charge. You authorize it from Town's Integrations page by signing in to Ramp; no API keys or setup.
Town only reads Ramp data when you (or a routine you configured) ask for it, and access is scoped to your account. Anything Town drafts from it — spend updates, receipt nudges — waits for your approval. Read more about how Town approaches security.
Very little. Day to day the connection reads: transactions, cards, receipts, vendors, users. The one exception is issuing a virtual card when you ask for one, and like every action that touches a system your team depends on, it's held for your approval before anything is created.
Your transactions, cards, receipts, vendors, transfers, users, departments, locations, business entities, and accounting fields, read on demand. Under the hood these are Town's Ramp tools: list transactions, list cards, list receipts, list vendors, and more. Reimbursements, bills, and bank accounts aren't covered yet.
You need a Ramp account (your Ramp admin may need to authorize the connection) and a Town account — free to start. The Ramp connection works on every Town plan.
Ramp is your corporate card and spend management platform: it issues the cards, sets the controls, and books the expenses. Town is an AI assistant that acts on that activity — the spend update drafted, the receipts chased, any charge answered — without you opening the dashboard.
What is Ramp?
Ramp is the finance platform built around corporate cards. It issues the cards, enforces the spend controls, collects the receipts, and automates the bookkeeping behind every purchase your company makes.
Ramp runs the spend; Town reports on it. Connected, your card activity becomes the weekly update, the receipt nudge, and the instant answer, wherever you work.
