How to connect the HubSpot MCP to Town

  1. Open Integrations in Town

Go to Integrations in your Town workspace (free to create) and find HubSpot.

  2. Authorize the connection

Sign in to HubSpot when prompted. Town connects through HubSpot's official MCP server (mcp.hubspot.com), so there's nothing to install or configure.

  3. Put your CRM to work

Done — your Townie can now search your contacts, companies, and deals, keep records current after calls, and answer questions about any account.

Just ask your Townie

HubSpot holds the record. Town keeps it true — from your calls, inbox, and meetings.

  • “What's the story with Acme?”

Deal history, open items, and the last conversation, in one answer.

  • “Which accounts haven't we touched in 30 days?”

Answered across every record, with owners attached.

  • “Break down Q3 pipeline by segment.”

Pulled from HubSpot, analyzed and written up in Town's editor.

HubSpot integration FAQ

The HubSpot MCP is HubSpot's hosted Model Context Protocol server at mcp.hubspot.com — the official integration surface HubSpot maintains. MCP is the open standard that lets AI assistants securely work with data from apps — in this case your contacts, companies, and deals. Town connects to it in one click; no API keys or local setup.

Town only reads HubSpot data when you (or a routine you configured) ask for it, and access is scoped to the account you connect. Record changes wait for your approval. Read more about how Town approaches security.

By default, no — record updates are drafted and held for your approval, so nothing lands in a system your team depends on without you seeing it. If you want a routine to run more autonomously, you opt in per routine.

Your CRM objects — contacts, companies, and deals. Under the hood these are HubSpot's MCP tools: search and read contacts, companies, and deals; create and update records; manage lists and properties.

You need a HubSpot account and a Town account — free to start. The HubSpot connection works on every Town plan.

HubSpot's AI works inside HubSpot. Town works across your whole stack — the CRM plus your inbox, calendar, and meetings — so the record gets updated from what happened outside it, and what's in the record shows up wherever you're working.

What is HubSpot?

HubSpot is the CRM platform where sales and customer teams track contacts, companies, and deals — the system of record for every customer relationship.

HubSpot holds the record; Town keeps it true. Connected, your calls and email become record updates your Townie drafts for approval, and any question about an account gets answered wherever you work.
