How to connect the Affinity MCP to Town

  1. Open Integrations in Town

Go to Integrations in your Town workspace (free to create) and find Affinity.

  2. Paste your Affinity API key

Create a key in Affinity under Settings → Manage apps → Create, and paste it into Town's token field. Town connects through Affinity's official MCP server (mcp.affinity.co).

  3. Put your network to work

Done — your Townie can search your deal flow, log meetings for your approval, and brief you before every pitch.

Just ask your Townie

Affinity holds the relationships. Town keeps them warm — from your meetings, inbox, and calendar.

  • “What's our history with Lumen Robotics?”

Meetings, notes, and who knows them best, in one answer.

  • “Who on the team knows someone at Parkway?”

Answered from relationship strength across your whole network.

  • “Turn this quarter's deal flow into a partner-meeting doc.”

Assembled from Affinity, drafted in Town's editor.

Affinity integration FAQ

The Affinity MCP is Affinity's hosted Model Context Protocol server at mcp.affinity.co — the official integration surface Affinity maintains. MCP is the open standard that lets AI assistants securely work with data from apps — in this case your companies, people, opportunities, lists, and notes. Town connects with an Affinity API key; nothing to install.

Town only reads Affinity data when you (or a routine you configured) ask for it, and access is scoped to what your Affinity account can see. Record changes and logged interactions wait for your approval. Read more about how Town approaches security.

By default, no — updates, notes, and logged interactions are held for your approval, so nothing lands in the pipeline your partners rely on without you seeing it.

Companies, people, opportunities, lists and saved views, notes, meetings, reminders, and relationship strength. Under the hood these are Affinity's MCP tools: search records, browse lists, read fields and notes, look up relationship strength, and create or update records with approval.

On the Affinity side, yes — the Affinity MCP requires a Scale, Advanced, or Enterprise plan (where Affinity offers API access). On the Town side you just need an account — free to start, and the connection works on every Town plan.

No — Affinity stays your system of record. Town keeps it fed and puts it to work: meetings become logged interactions, quiet intro threads get chased, and the relationship graph shows up in your briefs.

What is Affinity?

Affinity is the relationship-intelligence CRM investors use to manage deal flow — companies, people, opportunities, and the relationship strength behind every intro, captured automatically from email and meetings.

Affinity holds the network; Town keeps it working. Connected, meetings become logged interactions, warm intros get chased, and any question about a company is answered where you work.
