Recurring Venmo Split Request
Recurring Venmo Split Request is a routine your Townie AI assistant runs at the end of each month: it reads the recurring bill emails from the senders you name — the utility, the internet provider, a shared subscription — pulls the amount due from the email or attached statement, and hands you an email with each person's share and a Venmo request link prefilled with the total and a clear note. Nothing is requested and no money moves until you send it.
See it work: the bill lands, the request is ready
Turn every recurring shared bill into a ready-to-send Venmo request
The amount, each person's share, and the prefilled Venmo link.
How this routine works
Works with
It runs at the end of each month
Your Townie looks up the bill emails from only the senders you name — the utility, the internet provider, a shared subscription — never your whole inbox.
It reads the bill and does the math
It opens the email and any attached statement, pulls the amount due and the due date, and works out each person's share. If the amount isn't clear, it checks with you before doing anything else.
You get the ready-to-send request
An email with a link back to the bill, each person's share, and a Venmo request link prefilled with the total and a clear note like "PG&E-Aug-2026" — review at a glance, fire it off in a couple taps.
Recurring Venmo Split Request FAQ
It's a routine your Townie AI assistant runs at the end of each month: it reads the recurring bill emails from the senders you name, pulls the amount due from the email or attached statement, splits it across your group, and emails you each person's share with a Venmo request link prefilled with the total and a clear note — so you never front the whole thing or forget to collect.
No. It preps the request and hands it to you — it never messages anyone or moves money itself. It reads only the bill senders you name, and if an amount isn't clear it asks you before doing anything else. Read more in our security overview.
Tapping it opens Venmo with the full bill amount and a clear note — the bill name, month, and year — already filled in. You add the people you're splitting with, choose to split evenly, and tap Request. The link carries the full total on purpose: Venmo divides it across everyone on the request, including you.
Anything that arrives by email with an amount on it — a utility, the internet, rent, a shared streaming or software subscription. You name the senders when you set it up, and you can add or drop bills any time with one message.
Even splits are the default, and you set how many people are in each split per bill — three roommates on the electricity, two on the internet. If a bill needs an uneven split, tell your assistant once and it adjusts the shares it shows you.
