See it work: a routine that works your next steps
Draft the follow-ups my pipeline says I owe
Drafted before you log in. You approve every send.
Open Integrations in Town
Go to Integrations in your Town workspace (free to create) and find Salesforce.
Authorize the connection
Sign in to Salesforce when prompted. Salesforce requires a one-time install of the Pipedream app package by a Salesforce admin before anyone in the org can connect — see our docs for the two-minute admin steps.
Put the system of record to work
Done — your Townie can query any object your org tracks, draft the record updates you've been putting off, and answer questions about any account or deal.
Routines that use Salesforce
Ready-made routines from the Town library, built on Salesforce. Install one and tailor it to how you work.
Just ask your Townie
Your team runs on Salesforce. Town handles the part everyone hates: the data entry.
“Where are we with the Halcyon renewal?”
Stage, amount, next step, and the last activity, in one answer.
“Which opportunities closing this quarter have no next step?”
Answered across your whole pipeline, with amounts and owners.
“Who do we know at Veltrix?”
Contacts, open deals, and past activity, pulled from the account's related records.
Salesforce integration FAQ
Town's Salesforce integration connects your CRM to your AI assistant through a secure sign-in with your own Salesforce account. A Salesforce admin installs the app once for the org; after that, users permitted by your org's policy can connect with one click. Your Townie can search and query every object your org defines, and with your approval it can create and update records: accounts, contacts, opportunities, cases, and more.
Town connects with your own Salesforce login, so it can only see what your admin already lets you see — your profile, permissions, and sharing rules all apply. Record changes wait for your approval. Read more about how Town approaches security.
By default, no. Every write — record updates, new records, case comments — is drafted and held for your approval before it touches the org your whole company reports from. If you want a routine to run more autonomously, you opt in per routine.
Any object your org defines, standard or custom. Under the hood these are Town-owned tools: list and describe objects and fields, run text search and SOQL queries, get records and their related records, create and update accounts, contacts, and opportunities, add case comments, and create, update, or upsert any record type.
You need a Salesforce edition with API access — most Enterprise and Unlimited orgs include it, while Professional may need the API add-on; ask your Salesforce admin if you're unsure. On the Town side, the connection works on every plan, free to start.
Agentforce and Einstein automate work inside Salesforce. Town connects Salesforce to the rest of your day: your calendar, inbox, and meetings feed the record, the record feeds your briefs, follow-ups, and answers, and you approve what lands.
What is Salesforce?
Salesforce is the system of record for enterprise sales — accounts, contacts, opportunities, and cases, plus every custom object your org has built on top. If it isn't in Salesforce, it didn't happen.
Salesforce holds the record; Town does the typing. Connected, your meetings and email become drafted record updates and follow-ups, and any question about the pipeline gets answered wherever you work.
