Brex integration FAQ
Town's Brex integration is a secure connection to your Brex account through Town's Brex tools. Your Townie can read your transactions, budgets, cash accounts, transfers, vendors, and team, then turn them into budget checks, renewal heads-ups, and answers about any balance or charge. You authorize it from Town's Integrations page by signing in to Brex; no API keys or setup.
Town only reads Brex data when you (or a routine you configured) ask for it, and access is scoped to your account. Anything Town drafts from it — budget checks, heads-ups, vendor records — waits for your approval. Read more about how Town approaches security.
Not without you. Day to day the connection reads: transactions, budgets, balances, vendors. When you explicitly ask, Town can draft a new vendor or a transfer in Brex, and like every action that touches a system your team depends on, it's held for your approval before anything is created or sent.
Your card and cash transactions, budgets, cash accounts and balances, transfers, vendors, users, departments, and locations, read on demand. Under the hood these are Town's Brex tools: list budgets, list cash accounts, list primary card transactions, list transfers, list vendors, and more. Expenses, receipts, and travel aren't covered yet.
You need a Brex account (your Brex admin may need to authorize the connection) and a Town account — free to start. The Brex connection works on every Town plan.
Brex is the financial stack startups run on: corporate cards, business banking, budgets, and spend controls in one place. Town is an AI assistant that acts on those numbers — the budget check drafted, the balance answered, the renewal flagged — before you'd have thought to open the dashboard.
What is Brex?
Brex is the all-in-one finance platform built for startups. It issues the corporate cards, holds the business bank accounts, sets the budgets, and enforces the spend controls, from the first check to the growth stage.
Brex holds the money; Town puts the numbers to work. Connected, your budgets, balances, and transactions become the Monday check, the renewal heads-up, and the instant answer, wherever you work.
