Routines that use Dropbox

Ready-made routines from the Town library, built on Dropbox. Install one and tailor it to how you work.

Just ask your Townie

Years of files live in your Dropbox. Town finds them, reads them, and puts them to work in your inbox and docs.

  • “What's in this folder Priya shared?”

Contents listed and the key files read, straight from the pasted link.

  • “What's the notice period in the Meridian MSA?”

Answered from the contract in your Dropbox, clause quoted.

  • “Turn the Northwind folder into a one-page brief.”

Every file read, summarized, and drafted in Town's editor.

Dropbox integration FAQ

Town's Dropbox integration connects your files through Dropbox's official sign-in — one click, no setup. Your Townie can search your Dropbox by name or by what's inside the files, read them, create folders, share files with links, and open Dropbox links people send you. Anything that creates a folder or a share link waits for your approval.

Town only reads your files when you (or a routine you configured) ask for it, and access is scoped to the Dropbox account you connect. The two things it can create — folders and share links — are held for your approval. Read more about how Town approaches security.

No. Town has no tools to upload, edit, move, or delete files in Dropbox — your files stay exactly as they are. The only things it can create are folders and share links, and both wait for your approval; a share link makes a file reachable by anyone who has it, so it never goes out without your sign-off.

The Dropbox of the account you connect. Under the hood these are Town's Dropbox tools: search files by name or content, list folders, read file details like size and modified date, download files up to 150MB, create folders, create and list share links, and open shared links.

You need a Dropbox account — free or paid — and a Town account, free to start. The Dropbox connection works on every Town plan.

Dropbox search finds files. Town reads them: it can quote the clause inside the contract, tell the final from the drafts by date, and answer a file request with a drafted reply that already has the share link in it — on a schedule you set, not just when you go looking.

What is Dropbox?

Dropbox is cloud file storage — the place years of contracts, deliverables, brand assets, and project history end up, synced across every device and shared with a link.

Dropbox holds the archive; Town puts it to work. Connected, your Townie finds the file by what's inside it, answers questions straight from the PDF, and drops the share link into the reply it drafted for you.
